My PEARL Journalism Course Mate, Wafa Altalbi's Profile

This delightful lady from Shargiya is a teacher of English Language at Alyahmadi Basic School. She did her English Language Course at Ajman University, UAE. She has six brothers and two sisters. And if you love reading, traveling, shopping and Internet - and still SINGLE AND SEARCHING - then Wafa, is still there for you to pick! (In truth, am also single and my knee goes weak at the prospects... )

She lives with a burning desire and dream to one day go further with studies in English language - Masters in English Language to be exact - in England, preferably the heart of England, London.

She still fondly remembers her first day in University as one very special one. "That was the most precious day" she stated.

Like every one of us, I would say, Wafa also has had her share of bad moments at the brink of getting worst if not tragic: he brother was involved in a car accident which naturally scared her stiff, fearing the worst had occurred. He however survived but with a broken arm.

On a lighter side, she recalls very well a turning point in her family's life: moving from their old house to a new one. The old house may be old, but having stayed there for long and build lots of memories around it, Wafa and her family members left with this mixed feeling of being happy to move to a new and better place yet sad all at the same time that they were leaving for good the place that was their home for long. Such are the twists in our lives.

Wafa's pursuit in life centers around four main things: serving others to make the world a better place, social services, the quest for God and pleasure. Yes, pleasure is the forth.

I am pleased to have e-met Wafa. Who knows, one day we may meet face to face.

Insha allah

Unfortunalty I was a little bit behind in my course schedule becouse of sickness. I have however send my set of questions to my course mate and now waiting for her reply.

I hope to have her profile here soon.

Something about me
